Everest - EOMH-48-B-35-T Commercial 48" Open Air Display Merchandiser Horizontal - EOMH-48-B-35-T

Our Open Air Merchandisers conform to NSF 7 Type II and are built to withstand 80F ambient temperature - higher than most brands out on the market today. The open, no-door format is made possible by advanced Cold Air Technology that deflects hot ambient air out of the shelf area while trapping cold air inside. The built-in, retractable night curtain is a standard feature that provides extra security and improved energy efficiency when the unit is not in active use. Available in vertical and horizontal styles and various sizes to match any space. Equipped with the Blizzard R290 system, a fully self-contained and detachable condensing unit that uses natural, environmentally friendly, EPA-compliant R290 refrigerant with zero (0) Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and three (3) Global Warming Potential (GWP). Blizzard R290 is easily replaceable and requires no on-site brazing.

The evaporator coils and condenser are large capacities and corrosion-resistant. The fan motors are electronically commutated and can achieve rapid cooling with less energy consumption. There is also shielded LED bar lighting, located under shelves and the canopy, which provides high color illumination with low heat output. The factory preset temperature is 35°F. The two-tier shelf riser is removable.

The condensate drain is self-maintaining, and will not require any external drains. In addition, the drain is energy efficient, it won't need any electric heaters either. There are four 5" swivel casters, with locks on the front set, as well as leg stabilizers. The cabinet and door are insulated with high-density polyurethane. The included NEMA 5-15P is pre-wired and ready to plug. This product is not to be installed in direct sunlight.

All-In-One Slide-Out Cooling Cartridge

Blizzard R290 Is the latest innovation in refrigeration technology. Patented by Everest. This all-in-one eco-friendly and easy to install condensing unit will surely blow away the competition.

The Blizzard uses R290, a natural, climate-friendly, hydrocarbon refrigerant with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and low Global Warming Potential (GWP). It"â„¢s an effective alternative to hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) based refrigerants. Without harmful effects on the environment. Blizzard and all Everest equipment meet the daily energy consumption standards of the U.S. Department of Energy & Environment Protection Agency.

Maintenance Tips
  • Unplug before cleaning to protect electrical components and ensure safety while wiping or servicing the unit.

  • Clean shelves and display area frequently using mild soap and warm water to remove spills, residue, and food debris.

  • Keep condenser coils and air vents dust-free by brushing or vacuuming monthly (more often in dusty or high-traffic locations) for efficient cooling and reduced compressor strain.

  • Avoid overloading or blocking airflow paths — leave space around products so chilled air can circulate evenly and maintain stable temperature.

  • Check condensate pan and drain lines regularly; clear any buildup to prevent leaks, mold, or odor.

  • Monitor temperature performance with a thermometer to ensure consistent cooling and adjust settings if temperature fluctuates.

  • Use only non-abrasive cleaners — avoid bleach, acidic chemicals, and high-pressure spraying that may damage metals or electrical parts.

  • Schedule periodic professional servicing to inspect refrigerant levels, fan motors, and overall system health for reliable long-term operation.
