Everest - EBF2, Commercial 54" 2 Solid Door Reach-In Freezer - EBF2

The series provides versatility in storage, display and temperature combinations in a traditional, bottom mounted design. It also features a deeper cabinet to meet the operator's specific storage needs. Patented vacuum relief valves in addition to conventional pressure relief mechanisms ensure rapid re-entry while keeping an airtight seal. Equipped with the Blizzard R290 system, a fully self-contained and detachable condensing unit which uses natural, environmentally friendly, EPA-compliant R290 refrigerant with zero (0) Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and three (3) Global Warming Potential (GWP). Blizzard R290 is easily replaceable and requires no on-site brazing.

Blizzard R290 Is the latest innovation in refrigeration technology. Patented by Everest. This all-in-one eco-friendly and easy to install condensing unit will surely blow away the competition. The Blizzard uses R290, a natural, climate friendly, hydrocarbon refrigerant with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and low Global Warming Potential (GWP). It"™s an effective alternative to hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) based refrigerants. Without harmful effects to the environment. Blizzard and all Everest equipment meet the daily energy consumption standards of the U.S. Department of Energy & Environment Protection Agency.

Q&A

Q: What is the Everest EBF2?
A: A commercial-grade, upright reach-in freezer with two full-height solid doors, designed for restaurants, cafés, bakeries, or any foodservice environment needing reliable frozen storage.

Q: What is its storage capacity?
A: Approximately 50 cubic feet of frozen storage, with six adjustable, epoxy-coated wire shelves for flexible organization.

Q: What are the cooling and performance features?
A: Bottom-mounted, self-contained refrigeration system with forced-air cooling and dual evaporator fans for even cooling and fast temperature recovery. Supports proper freezing for food safety.

Q: What are the construction details?
A: Durable stainless-steel interior and exterior, 2.5" thick high-density insulation, solid swing doors that are self-closing and field-reversible, recessed handles, and door locks for safety.

Q: What are the utility and mobility features?
A: Runs on 115 V / 60 Hz / 1-phase power with a 1‑HP compressor, pre-wired with standard plug, and mounted on 5" swivel casters (two locking) with leg stabilizers for easy movement.

Q: Who is this freezer best for?
A: Ideal for commercial kitchens, cafés, bakeries, or retail food shops needing large-capacity, organized frozen storage with consistent low temperatures.

Q: What are the limitations or considerations?
A: Heavy (~590 lbs) and large; requires sufficient floor space and proper ventilation around the compressor. More suited for business use than home kitchens.

Maintenance Tips
  • Clean interior and exterior surfaces regularly: Wipe down doors, gaskets, and interior shelving to prevent buildup and odor.

  • Check and maintain door seals: Inspect gaskets for cracks or wear monthly, and clean them to ensure a tight seal and consistent temperature.

  • Ensure proper airflow: Do not overfill the freezer; leave space around items and at the back to allow efficient air circulation and even cooling.

  • Defrost and check drainage: If frost accumulates, defrost and ensure drain lines/drip trays are clear to prevent ice buildup or water leaks.

  • Monitor internal temperature: Regularly verify the freezer maintains a stable temperature suitable for frozen storage; fluctuations may indicate gasket or compressor issues.

  • Condenser coil and fan maintenance: Clean dust and debris from condenser coils and fan blades every few months to sustain efficient cooling and reduce compressor strain.

  • Schedule periodic maintenance: For heavy use, perform a full inspection (gasket, door alignment, coils, defrost system, thermostat) every 3–6 months for reliability.
