Everest - EBR2, Commercial 54" Two Solid Door Reach-In Refrigerator 53 cu. ft. - EBR2

The series provides versatility in storage, display and temperature combinations in a traditional, bottom mounted design. It also features a deeper cabinet to meet the operator's specific storage needs. Patented vacuum relief valves in addition to conventional pressure relief mechanisms ensure rapid re-entry while keeping an airtight seal. Equipped with the Blizzard R290 system, a fully self-contained and detachable condensing unit which uses natural, environmentally friendly, EPA-compliant R290 refrigerant with zero (0) Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and three (3) Global Warming Potential (GWP). Blizzard R290 is easily replaceable and requires no on-site brazing.

Blizzard R290 Is the latest innovation in refrigeration technology. Patented by Everest. This all-in-one eco-friendly and easy to install condensing unit will surely blow away the competition. The Blizzard uses R290, a natural, climate friendly, hydrocarbon refrigerant with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and low Global Warming Potential (GWP). It"™s an effective alternative to hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) based refrigerants. Without harmful effects to the environment. Blizzard and all Everest equipment meet the daily energy consumption standards of the U.S. Department of Energy & Environment Protection Agency.

What our Experts Think
  • Reliable commercial-grade refrigeration: Stainless-steel interior and exterior with bottom-mounted refrigeration provide consistent cooling for restaurants, cafés, or commercial kitchens.

  • Spacious storage capacity: Approximately 53 cu. ft. of usable interior space accommodates large volumes of perishables, ingredients, or supplies without overcrowding.

  • Practical usability and organization: Six adjustable epoxy-coated wire shelves, self-closing double solid doors, and reversible door hinges make organization and access simple.

  • Precise temperature control: Digital temperature controls, auto-defrost, and R-290 hydrocarbon refrigerant ensure stable cooling and maintain hygiene standards.

  • Built for busy kitchens: Heavy-duty construction, LED interior lighting, stainless-steel surfaces, and lockable swivel casters with stabilizers support frequent use and easy cleaning.

  • Energy-efficient performance: Modern refrigeration system balances high performance with lower energy consumption, making it cost-effective for long-term commercial use.

Q&A

Q: What is the Everest EBR2?
A: A commercial-grade, two-door upright reach-in refrigerator designed for restaurants, cafés, bakeries, and other professional kitchens requiring large-capacity cold storage.

Q: What is its storage capacity?
A: Approximately 53 cubic feet of refrigerated space.

Q: What are its build and construction features?
A: Heavy-duty stainless-steel exterior and interior, high-density polyurethane insulation, and a bottom-mounted self-contained refrigeration system for consistent cooling.

Q: What convenience and operational features does it include?
A: Two full-height solid doors with self-closing hinges, six adjustable wire shelves, digital temperature control with LED display, auto-defrost, and forced-air circulation for even cooling.

Q: Who is this unit best for?
A: Medium- to large-volume commercial kitchens, cafés, restaurants, or bakeries needing reliable bulk refrigeration.

Q: What are limitations or considerations?
A: Large and heavy, requiring sufficient floor space, proper ventilation, and a stable power supply. Regular maintenance and defrost cycles are needed to keep it operating efficiently.

Maintenance Tips
  • Regular cleaning: Wipe interior walls, shelving, door interiors, and exterior surfaces weekly with mild detergent and a soft cloth.

  • Check and maintain door gaskets: Inspect monthly for cracks or wear; clean and dry to ensure airtight closure and consistent temperature.

  • Airflow management: Avoid overloading; leave space between items and don’t block vents for even cooling.

  • Condenser & fan maintenance: Vacuum or brush condenser coils and fan blades every 1–3 months to maintain cooling efficiency and reduce compressor strain.

  • Temperature monitoring: Check internal temperature regularly to ensure it stays within safe refrigeration range; fluctuations may indicate gasket, coil, or compressor issues.

  • Proper loading practices: Arrange items to allow free airflow, distribute weight evenly, and avoid placing heavy items directly against walls or vents.

  • Defrost & moisture management (if applicable): If frost builds up, defrost carefully and dry completely before restocking to prevent ice and moisture issues.

  • Periodic inspection: Monthly checks of seals, airflow, and cooling components help maintain reliability and energy efficiency.
