SCM Straight Line Ripsaw - 303S

The Cantek 303S single-blade ripsaw is a straight-line ripsaw that is the ideal ripping upgrade for those looking to prepare material for a moulder or for producing face frame material. The 303S automatically feeds the material for consistent rip results.

The cast iron feed chain runs on double V guide rails and holds the material firmly for precision straight cutting. A powerful 10 HP motor with maximum 12โ€ blade provides a cutting depth up to 3.35โ€. A micro-adjustable infeed fence allows for quick setups to ensure precise rip widths with fast adjustments.

The precision-built saw arbor constructed from nickel chrome steel ensures precision cutting without vibration. Cast iron chain and track assembly are precision machined and hardened for maximum wear resistance and superior cut quality.

A total of 6 hold-down rollers ensure the workpiece is held firmly onto the feed chain during cutting operations. Proper material hold-down ensures precise straight cutting with optimum edge quality.

Equipped with an electronic lubricator to automatically lubricate the chain track to ensure maximum wear resistance and a long chain & track life. The operator can quickly and easily change feed speeds according to the material being cut. Feed speeds can be changed from 50, 65, & 85 FPM.

The operator controls are located at the operator's eye level. In addition to the blade and feed controls, the panel has a low oil display light which will illuminate when the oil in the lubricator reservoir is low. When it goes beyond the low limit, the saw will stop until it is refilled.

Maintenance Tips
  • Clean the saw blade area, feed system, table surface, and dust collection ports after each use.
  • Inspect the saw blade regularly for dullness, damaged teeth, or resin buildup and sharpen or replace as needed.
  • Keep the dust extraction system operating efficiently to prevent debris accumulation and maintain cutting accuracy.
  • Check feed rollers, pressure assemblies, and guide systems for wear and proper operation to ensure consistent stock feeding.
  • Lubricate bearings, chains, guide rails, and moving components according to the manufacturer's maintenance schedule.
  • Verify blade alignment, fence settings, and feed system calibration regularly for precise straight-line ripping.
  • Inspect drive belts, motors, and transmission components for wear, tension, and reliable performance.
  • Remove pitch, resin, and fine dust from rollers and machine surfaces using approved cleaning products.
  • Test anti-kickback devices, emergency stop switches, safety guards, and protective systems routinely.
  • Operate and store the machine in a clean, dry environment and protect exposed metal surfaces from rust and corrosion.
