SCM 5HP 14" Pneumatic Chop Saw w/Foot Pedal Control - PCS14

The Cantek PCS14 14โ€ณ pneumatic chop saw is the ideal solution for increasing production on crosscut operations while maintaining optimum safety. Its powerful 5hp motor and adjustable cutting stroke ensure it can effortlessly cut though a wide range of materials and dimensions.ย

A number of features are included to ensure safe operation such as the infeed/outfeed safety guard, microswitches on all access doors, and security bolt on the saw access door. Available in either left hand or right hand operation depending on your ideal production flow.

A safety guard is included with each saw covering both infeed and outfeed to keep operators hands away from the blade during operation. The adjustable fingers on the infeed are designed to minimize the opening to keep hands away from the cutting blade. Clear plastic covers allow the operator to view towards the cutting line to ensure no impediments are near.

The blade access door provides full access to the saw blade for convenient blade changes. The door is equipped with a microswitch so that the machine will not operate when the door is open. Equipped with an electro-pneumatic foot pedal for convenient operation.

The controls are located on top of the table, so the operator has convenient access to turn the machine on or off. The pneumatics can also be turned off to eliminate the stroke where necessary.

Maintenance Tips
  • Clean the saw blade area, worktable, guards, and dust collection points after each use to remove chips and debris.
  • Inspect the 14" saw blade regularly for dullness, damaged teeth, or resin buildup and sharpen or replace as needed.
  • Check pneumatic lines, fittings, cylinders, and the foot pedal control for air leaks or wear.
  • Use clean, dry compressed air and drain moisture from the air system regularly to protect pneumatic components.
  • Lubricate pivot points, bearings, guides, and moving assemblies according to the manufacturer's maintenance schedule.
  • Verify blade alignment, cutting angles, and fence settings periodically for accurate and consistent cuts.
  • Inspect electrical controls, motor components, switches, and wiring for signs of wear or damage.
  • Ensure safety guards, blade covers, and emergency stop functions operate correctly before use.
  • Keep the dust extraction system functioning efficiently to reduce debris buildup and improve cutting performance.
  • Store and operate the machine in a clean, dry environment and protect exposed metal surfaces from rust and corrosion.
