SCM 5HP 1-Phase 8 ft. Sliding Table Saw - D405M-8

The D405M Saw with 8 ft. slider is the ideal panel-cutting solution for cabinet shops, millwork companies, and furniture shops that need a precision saw but have limited floor space. It combines a robust 5HP main motor and 1HP scoring unit with heavy-duty construction, such as its cast-iron main table and saw carriage, resulting in precise panel sizing with high accuracy and repeatability cut after cut.

The sliding table on the D405M runs on precision hardened upper and lower linear guide rails, making it easy and smooth to move. These rails, along with the chrome rollers, are highly wear-resistant. The table can be locked in multiple positions to facilitate panel loading. Reinforced webbing inside the extrusions ensures the table stays perfectly straight and precise.

An industrial cast-iron rip fence on the D405M adds to the stability of this sliding table saw. The fence runs on a hardened round guide rail and features a dual inch/mm scale for making micro adjustments. Easily adjust the fence forwards and backwards, or from vertical to flat for a lower profile when performing narrow bevel cuts.

The D405M includes a miter crosscut fence that can be set from a positive stop of 90° to 45° with an angle scale. Two flip stops are set in place along the crosscut fence with dual inch/mm scales. The crosscut fence can also be extruded to 140" (3,500mm). All of this is supported by a heavy-duty outrigger and support arm.

Good dust collection is vital to keep your saw running smoothly and efficiently. The D405M features an overarm blade guard with a built-in dust extraction port so that dust is captured as soon as it is made. It comes equipped with a quick-change guard system so the operator can choose the standard straight guard, or the bubble guard for bevel cutting.
