Drive Medical Med-Aire Assure 5" Air + 3" Foam Alternating Pressure Low Air Loss - DM-14530
Designed to prevent, treat and manage pressure ulcers in the home or long term care setting, the Med-Aire Assure combination therapy mattress system provides both alternating pressure and low air loss to optimize pressure redistribution and manage skin maceration. The Med-Aire Assure incorporates a system of eighteen 5" individual bladders over a 3" foam base. The pump offers a static feature as well as adjustable comfort settings by patient weight. The removable cover is quilted for comfort, low shear, anti-microbial, water-resistant and vapor permeable. Plus, a CPR valve allows for rapid deflation.

Maintenance Tips
- Inspect air pump, tubing, and electrical cord regularly for cracks, leaks, or loose connections.
- Ensure air hoses are securely attached and free from kinks or blockages to maintain consistent airflow.
- Test alternating pressure cycles and low air loss settings periodically for proper function.
- Keep pump air filters and vents clean and dust-free to prevent overheating and airflow restriction.
- Check mattress cells and foam base for punctures, deflation, or uneven support and repair or replace if needed.
- Clean mattress cover with approved disinfectants and allow it to dry completely before reuse.
- Verify CPR quick-release function operates correctly for emergency deflation.
- Avoid folding or tightly compressing the mattress during storage to prevent damage to air cells and foam layers.
- Respond promptly to low-pressure alarms to maintain therapeutic effectiveness.
-
Perform routine inspections to ensure consistent pressure redistribution, hygiene, and patient safety.Ā Ā
