Maintenance Tips
  • Brush cloth 1–2x weekly using a soft pool table brush; always brush in one direction (toward pockets) to maintain consistent roll and speed.
  • Use a fitted cover when not in use to protect the slate bed, cushions, and cabinet from dust, spills, and UV fading.
  • Clean rails and cabinet with a dry microfiber cloth only—avoid moisture or chemical cleaners that can damage the finish.
  • Keep billiard balls clean and dry to prevent oil and chalk transfer that wears cloth prematurely.
  • Check level periodically to ensure accurate play, especially after moving or floor settling.
  • Maintain stable room conditions (moderate humidity and temperature) to protect wood frame stability and slate alignment.
  • Avoid sitting or leaning on rails to preserve cushion bounce and structural integrity.
  • Do not vacuum or wet-clean the felt—brushing only preserves cloth life and play speed.
