SCUBAPRO’s SRS is designed to be donned quickly in the event of an emergency, military action, or deal with any unexpected underwater situation at a moment’s notice. The double horse collar-style BCD is PU coated on the outside, making it easy to sanitize and dry, and it comes with a TEK BPI and double tank cinches. An optional rear tank set-up is also available. To create a full kit, additional products can be purchased separately including regulator systems, analog pressure gauges, knives and tools.

Features
  • Large volume donut shape
  • One size fits all design
  • PU coated outer shell makes it easy to sanitize and dry
  • TEK BPI is based on a K-style layout which offers an extremely robust and lightweight design for smooth balanced air control during inflation/deflation
  • Front mount bottle configuration
  • Convenient MOLLE system across the front for attaching accessories, pockets, cutting devices and more
  • Liff Capacity: 51.7 lb.
What our Experts Think
  • Emergency-first design – Built for rapid donning in rescue, military, or high-risk underwater scenarios where every second matters.
  • High buoyancy capacity – Large-volume donut-style bladder provides strong, stable lift for demanding surface and subsurface support tasks.
  • Rugged construction – PU-coated outer shell is highly resistant to wear, easy to sanitize, and quick to dry after intensive use.
  • Front-mount configuration – Simplified layout supports fast setup and easy access to controls under stress.
  • Integrated MOLLE system – Allows attachment of tools, cutting devices, and mission-specific accessories for operational flexibility.
  • TEK Balanced Inflator (BPI) – Provides smooth, controlled inflation/deflation even in heavy-use environments.
  • Modular rescue platform – Can be paired with different tank setups and gear depending on mission requirements.

Q&A

Q: What is the Scubapro Rapid System BCD Scuba Rescue w/ BPI (BCD420 SRS)?
A: It is a professional emergency-response BCD designed for rapid deployment in rescue, military, or special operations diving, featuring a simple front-mount horse-collar design for quick donning.

Q: What makes this BCD different from recreational models?
A: It prioritizes speed, durability, and simplicity over comfort, making it ideal for emergency situations where divers must gear up quickly and operate under stress.

Q: What is the BPI inflator system?
A: The TEK BPI is a robust balanced power inflator that provides smooth, controlled inflation and deflation for reliable buoyancy management.

Q: What is its buoyancy capacity?
A: It offers approximately 47.2 lb (210N) of lift, providing strong buoyancy support for rescue and heavy-duty configurations.

Q: What materials and durability features does it have?
A: It uses a PU-coated outer shell that is easy to sanitize and dry, with a replaceable inner air cell for extended service life.

Q: Does it support gear attachment?
A: Yes. It includes a MOLLE-style front system for attaching accessories, tools, and mission gear as needed.

Q: Who is this BCD best suited for?
A: It is designed for rescue divers, military teams, and professional users who need a fast, rugged, mission-ready buoyancy system rather than recreational diving comfort.

Maintenance Tips
  • Rinse thoroughly with fresh water after every dive, including flushing the internal bladder and the AIR2 or Balanced Power Inflator (BPI) to remove salt and sand buildup.
  • Operate inflate, deflate, and all dump valves during rinsing to clear internal passages and prevent sticking.
  • Drain completely and allow to dry fully in a shaded, well-ventilated area before storage to prevent mold and odor.
  • Store partially inflated in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat to protect bladder integrity.
  • Inspect AIR2/BPI unit, hoses, dump valves, buckles, tank bands, and MOLLE attachments for wear, cracks, or corrosion before every dive.
  • Avoid bleach, solvents, petroleum products, and harsh chemicals that can degrade PU-coated materials and seals.
  • Schedule regular professional servicing of the inflator system and valves according to manufacturer recommendations or heavy use intervals
