Sol-Ark 12kW Hybrid Inverter | All-In-One Solar Inverter | 13000W PV Input | 12000W Output | 48V 120/240V Split Phase | Sol-Ark 12K-2P

The Sol-Ark 12kW hybrid inverter is a good choice if you’re seeking reliable partial-home backup without costly electrical upgrades. With 13kW solar input capacity and 63A grid pass-through, it protects essential circuits during power outages.

  • No Service Panel Upgrade Required
  • 13kW Solar Input Capacity
  • NEM 3.0 Compliance

About the Product

The Sol-Ark 12kW hybrid inverter combines 9,000W continuous AC output with support for up to 13,000W of solar input across two independent MPPT trackers. Unlike traditional grid-tie inverters requiring expensive service panel modifications, this hybrid inverter features 63A grid pass-through capability that integrates seamlessly into existing electrical infrastructure.

Designed for NEM 3.0 compliance and time-of-use optimization, the 12K-2P stores solar energy when rates peak and exports excess production when utility credits maximize returns. The 48V battery interface with 185A charge/discharge capacity supports both lead-acid and lithium iron phosphate batteries.

The 4ms automatic transfer switching maintains power to critical loads during grid failures, while 16kVA surge capacity handles well pumps, air conditioners, and motor-driven equipment. The IP65 / NEMA 3R weatherproof enclosure operates from -13°F to 131°F with natural convection cooling. Furthermore, with built-in Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity, the inverter enables remote monitoring and VPP enrollment for demand-response programs.

What our Experts Think
  • Inspect all AC, DC, PV, battery, and grounding connections regularly, ensuring terminals are clean, secure, and tightened to the manufacturer's specified torque.
  • Keep the inverter enclosure, cooling vents, and air passages free of dust, dirt, and debris to maintain proper airflow and prevent overheating.
  • Monitor PV production, battery status, system performance, and fault notifications through the Sol-Ark monitoring platform or LCD display to detect issues early.
  • Periodically inspect breakers, disconnects, surge protection devices, communication cables, and wiring for corrosion, loose connections, damaged insulation, or signs of overheating.
  • Disconnect AC, PV, and battery power before performing maintenance or cleaning, and always follow recommended electrical safety procedures.
  • Install the inverter in a clean, dry, well-ventilated location and ensure ventilation openings remain unobstructed to maintain efficient cooling.
  • Update inverter firmware only when recommended by Sol-Ark to maintain compatibility, reliability, and optimal system performance.
  • Schedule an annual inspection by a qualified technician to verify inverter operation, electrical connections, grounding integrity, and overall system safety for dependable long-term performance.
