SCM  Drum Sander - SUPMX-71938-D

Perfect for the small shop or woodworking enthusiast, the SuperMax 19-38 Drum Sander saves you time while providing consistent results. This sander features a 38" wide sanding capacity in two passes, and up to 19" width in a single pass. Sand everything from stock as short as 2-1/4" or as thin as 1/32".

INTELLISAND technology on the 19-38 Drum Sander prevents gouging and reduces the potential for burning stock by automatically adjusting conveyor speed based on load. It incorporates infinitely variable speed settings (0-10’/min) for the ultimate control of conveyor settings.

Stability is one of the main features you will find on this drum sander. It is built with heavy-duty cast-iron construction for reduced vibration. The drum carriage is bolted to the base, preventing any movement or alignment features. The precision-flattened steel conveyor bed is reinforced with four cross sections, guaranteeing flatness to less than .010" across the width of the sander.

The easy-access abrasive attachment system makes changing sanding wraps simple—no tools required! This system also maintains tension on the abrasive, keeping it snug on the drum and preventing overlap. Drum comes wrapped with 80 grit abrasive.
